MGC MGC-GT Derrinington Style Header

New MGC MGC-GT Derrington Style Header, Extractor Manifold, tubular steel construction, fits all models 1967-1969. This header includes connecting Y pipe for installation to exhaust system. Vintage header assembly fits MGC & MGC-GT models.

Important this part dates back to the early 1970’s. It is a duplicate of the original MGC Derrington header. If you are using stock carbs and manifold it will be necessary to relieve some metal from the back surface of the intake manifold. On some models you may need to flatted the header tubes slightly where the intake manifold touches the header. Finally the header was originally designed for racing the connection at the muffler will need to be bent when installing a stock muffler. We installed one of these back in 1974 on an MGC GT for street use. We recommend cleaning up the flange as these were not laser cut. Note never wrap steel headers as keeping the heat within the header will make the metal brittle. Learned that the hard way on an MGA mild steel vintage headers
