These knobs were sold by Datsun authorized dealers and parts stores.
Knobs were an option when purchasing a new Datsun 280Z or as an accessory. Hand rubbed solid walnut with soft finish and a cloisonne emblem with shift pattern. Not a cheap glossy plastic finish. Just an elegant hand rubbed walnut. Look at the beautiful colors of the walnut in the pictures.

Note this knob fits 5 speed Datsun 280Z 8 speed models with 8mm 1.25 thread. Please check your vehicle to make sure this is the tread on your shift handle.
