Geoffrey Healey’s Lapel Pin Bugeye Sprite History

During 1978 we purchased 200 signed copies of Geoffrey Healey’s  “More Healeys Frog Eyes , Sprites and Midgets”. Geoffrey mentioned he had a collection of Austin Healey lapel pins that Donald gave out during the introduction of the Bugeye Sprite. They were in his desk drawer . He asked were we interested. YES what an opportunity. An opportunity to obtain one of these original lapel pins from the late 1950’s which were given out by Donald Healey at various auto shows when the Buyeye was introduced of coarse. We obtained all the Bugeye and Healey wing lapel pins plus two 100-S chassis plates that day from Groffrey. Great feeling to have this small piece of Sprite history given out at various auto shows when the Bugeye was introduced.
