BCA4169 Slave Cylinder A50 A55 MG Magnette ZA ZB. Very rare new old stock Lockheed clutch slave cylinder BMC factory part BCA4169 still in the original factory box. Note we would recommend installing a new seal prior to installation. If you are missing the original cylinder this is the first one we have uncovered. These have not been available for many years. There are currently no reproductions due to the rarity and limited application. Important this was only installed on vehicles with manumatic gearbox. Yes “Manumatic” even that sounds rare.
Here is a small description written by Paul Batho. The full article can be found on the MG Car Club Magnette registry. Recommend you read. Workshop diagram below shows the location of the slave cylinder.
“Manumatic transmission was a great idea. As the name implies, it is a half-way house between a manual and a fully automatic gearbox, doing away with the clutch pedal but retaining the gear lever. To quote the description in the manual ‘With the aid of the Manumatic Transmission System, a perfect gear change requires no other action than the appropriate movement of the gear lever’
Fits the following models
- A50 A55 1955-1959 with Manumatic gearbox
- MG Magnette ZA ZB 1955-1958 with Manumatic gearbox
Part No HBC BHA4169 ( hydraulic clutch )
